Spotlight | Business Citizen of the Year

Kevin O’Neil, founder and CEO of the O’Neil Group Company, was named the 2019 Business Citizen of the Year by the Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC. “Kevin is an entrepreneurial powerhouse and one of our region’s most accomplished business leaders,” Dirk Draper, president and CEO of the Chamber & EDC, said in a news release. “He will undoubtedly have a special spot in our city’s story of growth and revitalization when we look back on this era. His passion for this community is equally as impressive as his business acquisitions. He invests in both capital projects and relationships that benefit all of us. He truly embodies Business Citizen of the Year.”

Spotlight | Catalyst Gateway

The O’Neil Group led establishment of the first of seven gateways into downtown as part of a Downtown Development Authority Gateway initiative. As a willing participant and, due to the economic impact of the Catalyst Campus on the downtown economy, the Catalyst Gateway was the first Gateway completed in early 2020.

The Girls of the West symbolize the youth of the Pikes Peak region promoting the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo and representing the West through their horsemanship ability. The O’Neil Group, through Braxton, sponsor the Girls of the West program and offer an annual scholarship to further support the reigning Girl of the West.
